Open the application that appears in the results.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clickker.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"195\" height=\"100\"><\/p><p>Step 2 b) On the screen that now opens, look for Clickker.Updater<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clickker.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"427\" height=\"28\"><\/p><p>Step 3 c) Right-click on Clickker.Updater and select \u2018Properties\u2019<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clickker.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"211\" height=\"218\"><\/p><p>Step 4 d) You can stop the service via the screen that opens. You will also see straight away where the Clickker installer has been placed<\/p><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clickker.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"397\" height=\"338\"><\/p><p>Step 5) Navigate to the folder where the Clickker Updater is installed; in our example, this is D:\\TOOLS\\Clickker Updater<br \/>Step 6) Unzip the file you have downloaded <strong>which will overwrite any existing files.<\/strong> <strong>It is important that this actually happens and that you have the necessary rights to do so!!!<\/strong><br \/>Step 7) Check that none of the files are blocked. To do this, right-click on the files in this folder and select \u201cProperties\u201d. If a file is locked, you can tick the box at the bottom right labelled \u201dUnblock\u201d, after which this option will no longer appear in the \u201cProperties\u201d window when you click on the file again.<\/p><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15301\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clickker.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/unblock.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"363\" height=\"509\"><\/p><p>Step 8) Start the Clickker.Updater service.<\/p><p>To check whether this has worked, you can open the Serviceconfig.tsc file in the Clickker folder mentioned above using Windows Notepad to verify that the very latest version has been installed. From 10 August 2026, this should be Build 8644, and for updates released after that date, the build number will be higher!<\/p><p><strong>Troubleshooting:<\/strong><\/p><p>If things do go wrong and Clickker doesn\u2019t respond or the updater fails to start, there are two further steps you can take:<\/p><ol><li><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Temporarily grant the \u2018clickker\u2019 SQL user sysadmin rights so that databases can be updated. This sometimes goes wrong<\/span><\/li><li>Edit the web.config file in the c:\\inetpub\\clickker folder and ensure that the UpdateDatabases key is temporarily set to \u201cyes\u201d. This will automatically be reset to \u201cno\u201d once the update has been carried out, which is correct as it is no longer required afterwards.<\/li><li>Check whether the Clickker application pool in IIS has been stopped, and restart it<\/li><li>If you receive the following error message:<\/li><\/ol><h1><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clickker.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/foutmelding-clickker.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1890\" height=\"378\"><\/h1><ul style=\"margin-top: 0cm;\" type=\"disc\"><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul style=\"margin-top: 0cm;\" type=\"disc\">Solution:<\/ul><\/li><\/ul><ul style=\"margin-top: 0cm;\" type=\"disc\"><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul style=\"margin-top: 0cm;\" type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left: 0cm; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">Check the Assembly Version of System.Memory.dll in the <b>Clickker\\Bin<\/b>\\-folder.
